    The drive through the reserve is always interesting. Winter offers the most activity with wildlife, primarily water foul. Some days are very noisey and teaming with action, while other days are quiet. This day a bald eagle watched over the reserve. I saw deer, pheasants, hawks and an assortment of ducks and geese, as well as numerous song birds. Small entrance fee and lovely visitor center.

    Foggy day at the Refuge. Great day of birding though. Strange lighting of course with dense fog. Bald eagles (2), ring-necked ducks, snow geese, greater white-front geese, gadwalls, northern shovelers, cinnamon teal, greater (?) yellow-legs, and more
